Rodrigo y Gabriela’s Mettavolution is the first GRAMMY-winning album of their storied career. Three years in the making, the album brought together Rod and Gab's passionate interest in Buddhism, the history of human evolution and the liberation of the potential we have as a species; all expressed through the medium of two acoustic guitars. Conceived and composed in their studio in Ixtapa on the Mexican Pacific Coast, then road-tested in South America and the USA in 2017, a long list of new material has been distilled down to six new Rodrigo y Gabriela compositions and one audacious, jaw-dropping cover song.
Recorded in Los Angeles, producer Dave Sardy, -- best-known for his work with Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, A Perfect Circle and Band of Horses -- has helped Rod and Gab to a new recording career pinnacle.

From the first song until the end of the second side, all great! Love it! Aside from the postman giving a slight bend to my package, which did not affect the playability, i am thrilled! Thanks ATO records!

StevenMay 8, 2019Vinyl is very nice was packed safely and of course sounds great. My only complaint and the reason for 4 stars is the download included is MP3 only I would much prefer WAV or FLAC lossless files to accompany the vinyl.

Bob GrahamMay 8, 2019Bought this as a gift for my son-in-law. He loved it. I had given him my old turntable, and he got it fixed up with a new belt and cartridge. I gave up on vinyl years ago, so I was glad to do that. When I saw this coming out, months before release, I thought it would make a good birthday present. He loved it! I got him the Limited Edition Galaxy Colored Vinyl, and that was just the perfect extra. I also bought myself the digital download of the album (gotta support the artists you appreciate!), and the music is amazing! Just love it. Highly recommended!
