Another masterpiece from Temples. The packaging is beautiful, and the vinyl looks and sounds incredible. Often when an album is released on special vinyl, the sound quality suffers. Not in this case! The sound is pristine, with no surface noise. Production is stellar, and the songs are catchy. Temples continues to mine new territory, and they do it very successfully. One of my favorite bands of all time.

The vinyl itself is absolutely beautiful, I love the jacket itself too. The music is.. how to put it.. f@!#ing MAGICAL. Just discovered Temples when they released Gamma Rays as a single and WOW, up near the top of my list of bands now. Cicada is probably my favorite track on this one. Thanks yall keep it real!

After a bit of a wait, due to the product arriving at the warehouse unassembled, my limited Cloudy Blue vinyl edition, of Temples new LP, Exotico has arrived! And oh what a revelation this Sean Ono Lennon produced masterpiece is! Upon first listen, I was a bit off put, by the seemingly murkiness in the production. But, as the sonic layers began to unpeel themselves, and especially upon repeated listens, the pure, stellar, songwriting, and the genius of the project overall envelops the listener. I am particularly struck by the last side of the LP. Time is a Light, and Fading Actor are just sublime examples of songwriting brilliance. Personally, I believe Temples are the most important band in the world currently. The heir to Blur, Muse, and any other British exponent of retro/proto-psychedelia music. Exotico confirms this in no uncertain terms, it is their masterpiece.
