RandallAugust 20, 2024Love the full-length album The Future Is Our Way Out. I will it admit I was a bit surprised by the slow track and the end of the album, but it has grown on me. Think it was late 2023 I first heard them on the radio, and they were just one of those bands that grabbed me. Had to make sure and when I got home listened to some bits on youtube. It didn't take long for me to immediately order their This House Is Made Of Corners EP. Love it all.

Just as pretentious as I soundAugust 9, 2024This might just be me, but I believe Brigitte Calls Me Baby could be best described as a new band with an old soul. Similar to the Old 97s and Gaslight Anthem, BCMB claim a unique stake within a well-established sound. Allusions to Roy Orbison are both correct and appropriate, and the emphasis on lyrics over volume allows their songwriting and playing skills to shine in a way many newer bands seem to struggle with. I have high hopes that their sound can move beyond bloviating, pompous rock snobs, like me. Oh, and 1 last thing: The ultra-clear vinyl looks absolutely dope. Well done ATO!
