Guitar virtuosos Rodrigo y Gabriela’s In Between Thoughts… A New World is the duo’s first full-length album in four years and the follow-up to their GRAMMY® Award–winning Mettavolution. Spontaneously composed yet fully unified, the album reflects the same expansion of consciousness that inspired its creation. Self-produced in Ixtapa, Mexico, it finds Rodrigo y Gabriela expanding their signature sound to incorporate electronics and orchestral elements.
Mettavolution is the first GRAMMY® Award–winning album of Rodrigo y Gabriela’s storied career. Three years in the making, the record channels the duo’s deep interests in Buddhism, human evolution, and the liberation of human potential—expressed entirely through two acoustic guitars. Conceived and composed in their studio on Mexico’s Pacific Coast and road-tested across South America and the United States in 2017, the album distills a wide range of new material into six original compositions and one bold, jaw-dropping cover.
